Barbara Maples was another in string of talented artists who
flourished under the superior training obtained at Mary
Hardin-Baylor College. She was an art instructor in the Dallas ISD from 1937 - 1964, on the art
faculty of SMU from 1965 - 1978 and on the museum faculty of the
DMFA 1948-1949. She began her exhibition career in 1931 and had
numerous solo exhibitions which featured her works oils,
watercolors, and prints.
