Loraine Elizabeth Moore studied with Doel
Reed, Marion Hartwell, and Xavier Gonzales.
She was chosen to show her aquatints along
with Doel Reed at the Oklahoma Art Center in
1951, the only two Oklahoma artists so
honored. She was an important member of the Oklahoma
Artists Group and an exhibitor at the
National Academy of Design. For over 20
years she was an exhibitor in the Oklahoma
Annual Exhibition at the Philbrook Musuem
winning numerous first place awards and the
grand prize in 1966. She also kept a home in
Santa Fe and exhibited at the Museum of New
Mexico winning a first place award in 1968
for her aquatint, Time and Space.
